Friendly staff for the most part. Rooms and lobby met the standard. However, hallway noise could be heard easily through the door. But the real issue was the hot water. We at times had lukewarm or cold water. We were told it was due to low occupancy, it was a common complaint. The fix was to call the desk and building engineering would go to the rooms above and below and turn on the faucets in those rooms. We were using water at probably non peak hours. At peak hours the hot water was fine. Did not need a computer that often so we opted out on the in room service. Thought they would have a free use computer in the lobby, NOT. The $* parking is about what you would expect downtown. I would give this place a higher rating, but the water issue rates very high with me, sorry.

The service was fantastic; everyone was very friendly and professional. The concierge was especially helpful and knowledgeable. The room's decor was more updated, comfortable and generally nicer than the nearby Hyatt Regency I stayed at a few months prior, though the Regency has a lounge with amazing views that are worth the short walk. While there weren't any glaring issues with cleanliness per se, it was clear that some of the nooks and crannies had been missed over the years or need some minor maintenance (calking for example) particularly in the bathroom. Also, my husband called to have a bottle of wine and some snacks sent up to the room prior to our check-in (the cookies were fantastic!) and despite his request, the room was charged instead of the credit card information he gave at the time of his order, so that ended up requiring a little extra work to make sure we weren't double charged and having "the girls" pay for it. Overall it was great and I'd stay there again.

The hotel restaurant was good and the room was very nice. We had a little trouble with the hot water, but that was quickly resolved. The rooftop hot tub was a nice treat and the location was fabulous!

My debit card was charged twice

I paid with my debit card through travel online and was charged room and tax that same day. Upon arrival at check in, the hotel desk lady explained that she needed a credit card to authorize $* for incidentals. I gave her my debit card and she explained to me that the hold on a debit card falls off in about 5 to 7 business days. I told her that that was ok. I have worked in the banking industry for a long time. i know how the whole process works. About 3 days later there is a debit of $* posted on my checking account from the Hyatt. Remember, I paid in full, monies already taken out of my checking account, So I called and talked to A in the Accounting Department. She said that it as a hold for incidentals. I explained over and over again to her that she was incorrect. The money was taken out of my checking account. It was not in "la la land" as a hold authorization. She continued to tell me that it would fall off, it was a hold. I got nowhere with the conversation. I contacted my bank and they said it was not an authoriation from the hotel, but an actual charge and that the Hyatt has receiced the money. I called A again to try to explain it to her again...she is in the accounting department, and after about 15 minuted on hold with her she said that the money should have been sent to travel online and not taken out of my checking account, I am not sure why travel online gets that money. Angela said that she was sorry and would credit my account for the $* and it should be there within 5-7 business days.

This hotel is everything it says it is and more. The staff is beyond helpful and friendly from the moment you arrive. They will help you with ANYTHING you need from good places to eat, to getting you a taxi within in seconds. It is right around the corner from the 16th street pedestrain mall, which was so fun! I would recommend this hotel to anyone and it is worth the price and so much more! The resturant in the hotel is amazing as well, the buffet breakfast is to die for!
