Our family of 4 stayed here for a weekend to visit the smithsonian. The hotel was great. Our room was exceptionally clean, bathroom was spotless, breakfast was great, they have 24 hour fresh coffee, and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is located in a good area. There's plenty of stores nearby. There is a Target down the street and many fast food restaurants on the same street. We will stay here the next time we visit.

I would like to take the time to greatly compliment the hotel management and staff a job well done. The hotel presented an atmosphere that was not only welcoming but relaxing and gave us an more then sufficient place to allow us to rest and wake up well and rested for the next day. The rooms were extremly clean and welll decorated. I would like to greatly recommend this to anyone who is looking for an affordable place to stay that posses a calm relaxing atmosphere with a staff that is more then willing to assist you in any way that they are capable.

This hotel was very clean, and the staff was so friendly! Our family of 5 slept comfortably in the room with a King, sofa bed and roll-away. Breakfast every morning was fantastic, and got us off to a great start. The neighborhood was safe, and the hotel was within walking distance of a Target, CVS and several restaurants. The only downside was transportation. The hotel does not have a shuttle (airport or otherwise). The nearest Metro station is 5 miles away, and the only way to get there (if you don't have a car) is by taxi or by walking 3 blocks up hill to the bus stop (this bus does not run on weekends, however - we found that out the hard way). If you can live with the transportation issue, this is a great hotel.

The pool is smaller than it appears, but it was clean and always had a lifeguard on duty. The rooms were nice and housekeeping kept them neat and clean the whole stay. The free hot breakfast was a definite perk (and moneysaver). The front desk was VERY helpful with metro info and were patient when we erased our key cards by acciden (several times due to cell phone. The only complaint I had was the corridor noise is clearly heard in the rooms (we put towels under the door and I slept with ear plugs and still it's easily heard). I would definitely stay again or recommend to a friend going to the DC area. It's in a decent neighborhood with lots of restaurants close by. It's also close to the King St shops and bars (if you have a car). You should definitely check that area out.

Hotel was easy to find in a quiet part of town, very secure and Metro was easily accessible. Staff was friendly upon check-in but we had no interaction with them afterwards. Room was clean but small, also our room had no refridgerator or microwave, which was disappointing. The pool was very small so it was easily crowded. This will probably my only experience with the Hampton Inn chain unless there is nothing else available.
