Overall the experience was good (room was clean, upscale, and the manager gave us an upgrade due he said to the number of reservations that day (2/12). In person the manager (and probable owner) and the morning desk person (probably his son) were very polite and accommodating. Our anticipation that the Howard Johnson Express was on a par with a Holiday Inn Express was wrong... small. Our fault for anticipation... question now if a photograph of the motel was avaialble on line, and if so probably misleading. After the fact I understood the manager was busing registering clients, but as we needed directions to motel (fourgot to include "South" in address for Garmin), we may several attempts to call the motel until the time I heard the phone picked up and put back in cradle canceling my call... result of a one man operation and his choice to not displease a customer in his lobby. Called Travel Website to see if they could help. Courteous assistant had foreign accent that made communication difficult. Meanwhile local folks in restaurant gave us direction to motel. Travel Website also unalble to speak to anyione at motel; and could not provide directions. No, we will not be staying at this motel again... probably, however, would not have the occassion to need to again. Would not necessarily be negative to Travel Website (though not all that positve). the hotel was very clean and the man at the front desk was very helpful and kind. We enjoyed our stay. The motel was easy to find and was located well for the event we were attending. The rooms were large and tidy. would stay there again if ever in the area

The hotel was fine, nothing fancy just fine. If your looking for a cheap motel no thrills you just need somewhere to sleep this is the place. The guy at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was small but beautiful and clean. The room was clean and easy access (I asked for a ground floor room). The bathroom was spacious, there was a small fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee pot/coffee all the tiny extras you expect. We had a room with 2 beds, one bed was wonderful the other was kind of crapy, I think it was broken on one side and in the middle. We just slept on the other bed so it was no problem. I would recommend this motel to anyone, but I would say check the bed in the room before you accept the room.
