I will never stay here again. This year, This Howard Johnson "went green", which I'm all for, however it definitely made our stay next to miserable, and in my opinion they only did this "green" switch to save money. There is such low water pressure that my toilet didn't flush. We had to use our trash can to fill up with water and empty it into the camode. The shower heads are limited to an output of two gallons per minute of water. Then, the worst of all was my a/c. When there is inactivity in the room for 15+ minutes, the air conditioning turns off, and stays off unless the room gets over 80 degrees. I don't know about you, but after I'm out at the beach all day, or for ten minutes for that matter, I DO NOT want to come home to a room that is 80 degrees hot, and that's what we've been dealing with all weekend. It takes about an hour to get the room from 80 degrees to 65 where I like it. On top of that, every time we open the door to the balcony or the door to the hallway, the a/c shuts off and takes about 5 minutes to turn back on after the door shuts. Going green is also a priority of mine, however the changes they've made here appear to only exist to save this hotel money.

Our family stayed here the week of 8/17 and would definetely recommend this hotel to everyone.. It;s on the boardwalk just steps to the beach and very safe, quite and clean. We had no problems with the room, no problems with service. Actually, we never called the front desk as everything was great. The coffee shop had the best breakfast -very generous portions and great coffee and prices were minimum. The rooms were clean, generous with the towels, soaps, etc and very cool. The beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. The value is excellent. The pool was awesome, just a dip as we mostly spent time in the ocean. I will always go back to this hotel when I stay in Ocean City, for sure!

Upon arrival the front desk service was fine. Then we got to our room only to find out the pictures we looked at on-line were from another hotel! The room was cramped, not clean, and the hallway to get to our room was disgusting. Within 3 hours of being there we had to call the front desk to complain about 4 times. Once for the screen door being broke and hanging there, once for the hairdryer not working and they just brought me a different one and didn't put it on the wall, once for the power to our room going out while trying to use the microwave, once for no sheets, blanket or pillow cases on the extra pillows. And to top it off there was stagnant water laying on the dish inside the microwave with small bits of mold on it!!!! With no other choice we had to stay there for our first family vacation. I was greatly disappointed for the price we paid. I would highly recommend not staying in this hotel. I know we won't!!! and not to mention the language barrier is horrible!!!
