Excellent Service and Hotel
03/19/2011This is my second stay at this location. would definitely recommend it again. convenient location with access to old town, airport, and metro. great cook to order breakfast included.

Recently, I traveled to VA from Dallas, TX. This trip was meant to be "prescribed R&R" as I've been sick for almost 6 wks. My honey and I enjoyed the peacefulness, the big King bed and oh my, Breakfast was great. His omelette the way he liked his and mine the way I like mine. We dined in and had a New York Strip steak practically melting in our mouths with juices making the steak moist... talk about the life of leisure. I felt like Cinderella who didn't have to cook or clean... I tell you our stay was magnificent. The ladies on staff upon check-in were very polite and friendly, however the Gift Shoppe clerk, she could use a tip or two how to appear to be friendly and maybe smile more. Housekeeping staff was also very kind and helpful... all in all, the staff were respectful of our privacy, but acknowledged the guests and they did smile and display a more positive appearance, even when the breakfast lines were so long and wow, talk about so many people but even then the omelette line kept moving and there were no delays to get your breakfast and enjoy it while it was hot. Kudos to Embassy-Alexandria Old Town. I'm a very critical individual and i call it like I see it and it's not always positive but your staff helped my experience be an awesome one and it made my sweetheart feel like a king as well as he too was experiencing major pain with his arthritis. THANK YOU travel agency for partnering with America Airlines as I don't fly any other airline, and the flight attendants were also very pleasant and attentive to the passengers' needs. Smiles were a plenty!! Awesome job travel agency

You are across the street from the metro. You can get to Arlington, Crystal Mall, Pentagon City - all on your way to DC. You have all of the best dinning close by your room. It is all in walking distance. We have been coming to the DC area for over 20 years. We never want to stay any place else. The bartender will remember you. And, he remembers your drinks. It does not matter how long it has been since your last visit. Service and rooms are excellent.

Stayed here for 5 days in June - easy access to the Metro (right across the street) which will get you to any tourist areas. Hotel is located in a very safe area and within walking distance of many restaurants. Loved the cooked to order breakfast and the managers reception. Rooms and eating area could use updating. Staff was excellent!!

My family visited Washington DC during Cherry Blossom time. The hotel was right across from the Metro Station which made it so easy to get into town. In the city it was very crowded so we were happy to have public transportation right there for us. My 3 children ages 10, 9 and 4 loved the pool and the glass elevators. The staff was very helpful and our room was very clean. We all enjoyed the breakfast each morning and my husband & I enjoyed the happy hour. It was a nice way to unwind after a busy day of seeing the sites in DC. We will definately be back!
