I loved this hotel!!!! We stayed in the king-sized bed room. Pros: Great location and friendly staff! Very easy to find, and travel to other places: right off of the 101 freeway. The neighborhood is nice and within walking distance of a nice grocery store. It's only a mile away from Hollywood Boulevard. The room is very nice with lots of Hollywood memorabilia on the walls. The rooms are also very spacious with a little area with a sink, small mircowave and refrigerator; there was also a nice area with a chair and couch along-side the bed, as well as a 42" flat-screen TV that gets basic cable channels and HBO. The bathroom is really nice and has double sinks and a smaller flat-screen TV. The pool is small, but is nice and warm. The whole facility is very clean and well-kept. Cons: Mandatory $15/day valet parking. Hotel is being renovated, not that big of a deal really..didn't affect anything except for the aesthetic appearance of the outside and the lobby. The rooms are all done being renovated and are very nice. It also looks like the renovations should be completed soon. I would most DEFINITELY stay here again :D

Once I arrived at the hotel I could tell that it was going to be a great trip. The location is perfect better than I had expected. It's minutes from everything in Hollywood and only about 20 to 30 minutes from downtown L.A. The hotel was being renovated so a few areas were under construction, but I can only imagine how nice it will look once completed. The diner downstairs was nice I only visited it once but it was not expensive at all. What was even better was if you needed a few things their was a gas station which was a walkable distance. The only unfavorable thing I can say is that I had not expected to pay for parking and that ended up costing $*.00 a day, but that was not a horrible fee because you are provided a safe and secure parking garage.

The great part about this hotel is it's being remodeled that is also the not so great part since the exterior is in flux. However, the rooms are NICE! Much more so than expected. Service is good, felt safe, cozy and good location, right off the 101 so close to Hollywood and Burbank. They provide coffeemakers, blow driers, iron, plasam tv's, the little details that are helpful. . The attached restaurant, the "101 Coffee Shop" is a cozy, classic L.A. diner with great food and prices.

I stayed in this hotel for a few nights last week. The room was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Only a few minor complaints- alarm clock radio not very user friendly and there are no movie options at night on TV (ironic, since this is Hollywood)... plus, fridge was noisy. FYI - valet parking is $* per day and you can come and go as you please at no extra cost - a pretty good deal (employees are very friendly). Huge shower but no bathtub. Lots of cool pictures of movie stars all over room and hallways..

Booked a room here for the final stretch of our trip, and didn't expect much. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was great (minus the early morning construction outside our window). We ate at the 101 Cafe twice, because it is really that good. Service was prompt, the room was clean, and the shower was huge! Will definitely be staying here again!
