We were very disappointed everything is way over priced the room was extremely small the food was good but it was expensive they dont even have flat screens in the room and the parking lot was very cramped. We stayed there because it was conveniently located from all the clubs.and it was new years eve.

We recently spent our Valentine's Night at the Renaissance. Expecting a FOUR star hotel to be comfortable, clean, and relaxing...it was just the opposite. My husband is an airline pilot and has stayed at hundreds of hotels, by far this was his worst experience., as well as mine. We were given an early check-in via phone call and upon arrival, we were told otherwise. When we finally were able to get a room, it smelled very odd the entire stay. The pillows and bedding did not seem FRESH. They actually STUNK!!!! The heat in the room was miserable and uncomfortable, (either you boil or freeze). The Valentine Package was not in the room as promised. Also the traffic noise was so loud that it seemed as though there was a leak in the window. Unfortunately, all this wasn't even the worst part...the ENTIRE night we both felt like we were being eaten alive by bed bugs. We were so uncomfortable that neither one of us slept much. We are very dissappointed in the so called FOUR star quality of this hotel.

Beautiful historic hotel w/ a great staff. From check-in to check-out we were greeted warmth and kindness. Bellmen to waitress offered sightseeing tips and tips to stay out of or at least endure the -18 temps. Spacious room w/ comfortable beds Centrally located, convenient to tourist sights, w/ either a short walk or taxi ride. We will surely recommend and stay here our next time in Cleveland

I have stayed in hotels all over the world from the US to Europe to Latin America. This is in the top 3 worst. We stayed in a suite and it was incredibly disappointing. The furniture in the room did not contain 'old elegance' it was just old and worn out. It looked like someone had let a cat use one of the chairs as a scratching post. The furniture was not only old and worn out, but rather uncomfortable. The bed was comfortable, but in our sitting room, the couch was hardly worth sitting on and the chairs were equally uncomfortable. The amenities were extremely expensive - the Valet parking was nearly $30/car! A service that is generally included. It was exceptionally noisy with old windows as well. The windows are old, cold, and fully functional, so if you have small children, I do not suggest an upper level room. We were not able to fall asleep until well after midnight thanks to all the sirens and traffic noise. The bathroom was also very disappointing. While very clean, the toilet was only half functional and the old industrial style. The shower was a nice style and water pressure, but it didn't drain! Halfway through my shower I had to turn it off and wait for it to drain before washing my hair because it disgusted me that the water was quickly rising beyond ankle level. Good points: The staff is excellent and very well mannered. The food we ordered via the room service was excellent. Great variety and all food, including steaks, cooked to perfection.
