The hotel is above average. The rooms were clean and decent. The staff were responsive, immediate and timely to our request. Though the balcony was small but the view is spectacular because you have the pleasure of the ocean and lake view. Yes I will stay at Clarion, Ocean City again. On a scale of 0-10, I give it an 8.

Wow, I agree with the negative posts from the other travelers. We stayed at theis hotel for a 2 day vacation with my husband and children. I can say check in and check out was quick. The rooms are very disappointing. In the two days we were there we found so many things wrong with the room. The rooms and halls were musty, the room door latch was broken, the carpet were stained badly, the batteries in the remote control keep falling out because the cover was broken, the toilet over flowed from a tissue being flushed, lost money in the pinball machine (and it's not an arcade) and the kicker, there was a starting of a plant growing out of the hall carpet (where the floor and wall meet) My husband took advantage of what seemed to be a nice relaxing spa facility in the hotel. He used the excerise equiptment and then took a shower in the spa. The old rusted eye hook latch on the wooden shower door stucked my husband under the nail when he was unlatching it. Well, It caused it to bleed and he reported it to the General Manager at the time. The manager filed an incident report and was not sympatheic to him or our overall stay at the hotel. My review is true and would not recommend this hotel. The hotel and and the General Manager and Executive Assistant Manager to the owner need attention and need to be trained in customer service.The only thing impressive was the private beach, terrace and the great staff that worked the outside bars!

Everything was great. The buffet was the best I've ever had. New outdoor pool was awesome. Yeah the view is from a small balcony but I prefer to be out on the private section of the beach anyway. Everyone was friendly and attentive. We had a great two day stay.

I recently stayed at the Clarion in OC. Checking in was quick and easy; elevator was slow which can be typical for some hotels. But the unforgiving is the condition of the room. The unclean bathroom; the toilet and toilet seat was soiled...with urine and other unmentionables. The nightstand was cover in dust, there were dark brown stains on the comforter. There was some odor coming from the air unit. We decided to eat dinner on the terrace to enjoy the weather but after seating there for several minutes and not being acknowledge we left. This hotel offers so many amenities. Has the potential of being a 4 star but with the lack and sorry housekeeping and poor customer service. People expect a hotel to be clean and safe. It is a disgrace to offer a room with urine on the seat. I will not waste money on a uncaring hotel like this one ever again... Keep looking for a clean stay..skip over this one.

Ok, so I booked this hotel because it looked to be the best hotel in OC that was pet friendly and affordable. When I got there, the staff was very nice and check in was quick. I got to my room only to find an unclean bathroom. I work in a small boutique hotel and see cleaned bathrooms every day. This bathroom didn't have face towels, wash cloths, the toilet seat looked like it had cigarette ashes on the seat and the toilet tissue had not been changed. I felt I could overlook this, as the rest of the room appeared clean. Shortly after the toilet kept running, and when I was ready to go to bed I pulled the sheets back only to find a blood stain. Not a small fleck, but a huge enough stain that no one could ignore. It was disgusting. So I called room service and told them I needed another room, and they called me back to say I needed to come down and get the key for the new room. When I got down there, I was not given an apology, my room wasn't comped, and I wasn't offered any kind of credit for such a disgusting experience. So I moved my things across the hall to a much cleaner room, or at least it appeared to be. I didn't sleep well either night, because I felt as though I was still sleeping on unclean sheets, so I slept on top of the comforter, with my face on my arm so it wouldn't touch the pillowcase. Although the new room looked clean, I didn't trust it. The only good thing was the bartender X, otherwise save your money and go elsewhere.
