We stayed here for our 24th anniversary and it was great. We were upgraded to a corner suite since we book on line, and when we check-in I asked if anything was given for anniversaries. The front desk person said she would send up a bottle of wine. When it arrived, not only was it amazing, it had wine, cheese, fruit,and crackers all on a silver platter. I wasn

Swissotel = AWESOME EXPERIENCE. Super panoramic views. We stayed Lakeside. Had a view of Hancock Building, Chicago River and Navy Pier. Navy Pier was beautiful lit up at night. I can't wait to stay here again in the summer so we can see the fireworks from at Navy Pier.

There were lots of hidden fees not clearly outlined on the website, like a $* fee to use the pool. The new elevators are also extremely confusing to use and I ended up in the basement at one point. My toilet also had to be flushed 4 times just to drain. I don't think I would stay here again!

We absolutely loved the Swissotel! I took my 14 year old daughter and a friend to experience the "big city." The trip was a huge success. The hotel is conveniently located near Michigan Avenue and the shopping district. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is also connected to the "underground city" in downtown Chicago, which provided yet another exciting experience for the girls! One thing to watch, though, is the additional cost for parking. I must have overlooked this on the website. The hotel rate was GREAT, but parking added and additional $*/night. Next time, we'll probably take the train into downtown Chicago and taxi it from there. This was my first time to try booking a trip online. I was a little leary about securing the hotel online, so I called the customer service number listed at the website. My travel website agent was extremely helpful and made the process effortless. I will definitely be planning our next weekend get-away through Travel Website. :)
