My wife and I spent 2 nights at the Sofitel and I would recommend it to anyone staying in LA/Hollywood. It was quite reasonable for a hotel of this quality, the staff was attentive,yet unobtrusive. Thye we're unfailingly pleasant and freindly. As an extra bonus the attached bar/restaurant/nite club was excellent as well. You can more in LA, but don't. Stay at the Sofitel.

The Sofitel is in prime location if you are wishing to be in the middle of Beverly Hills/West Hollywood. Walking distance to many restaurants and the Beverly Center is across the street. The hotel is awesome...from the great service given by the valet staff, to the friendly customer sercice during check in/out, to the hip decor....just top notch. The price was typical for a nice hotel in LA, especially considering the location. The hotel restaurant, Simon LA has a special for guests.....a dinner course for two for only $*. (we didn't even make it to dessert and had enough left over for another meal)...normally this would have cost easily over $*.....Obviously can't say enough good things!!!! :) :) Will definitely be back!

This Sofitel is a typical upper end hotel. Nice room, good staff, all very nice. Like most hotels of this type parking is $*/night and in room wifi is $*/day (there's three computers in the lobby) but the package rate was so reasonable it didn't bother too much. There's a wonderful inexpensive 24 hr restaurant called Norms a few blocks away and a CVS across the street with snacks and liquor and anything else you might need and an indoor shopping mall with a variety of stores facing the hotel. I would definitely go back.

Very good hotel, definitely a 5-star joint, but be careful of their room service...because it's very-very expensive! To give you an idea: I ordered one croissant, one cup of tea and the bill came to $* before tips! I've stayed in some nice hotels around the world...but never have I paid $* U.S. dollars for one croissant and one cup of tea. Definitely an expensive experience. By the way, this hotel is located right next to some of the best restaurants in LA, like the infamous Ivy, The Little Door, Koi, Il Pastaio, etc. Also, Chef Kerry Simon's restaurant, 'LA Simon,' is located right in this hotel, probably one of the most underrated restaurants in LA right now for some seriously good food. :)
