Despite a bathroom sink collapse the second nite in the hotel, our stay in DC was everything we hoped for due to the location, comfort, and helpful staff. The shuttle to/from Pentagon City-Fashion Centre Mall was excellent. The breakfast meals were perfect for pre-tourist agenda. The evening social capped off long days with cold drinks and relaxtion. Staff were great with directions to restaurants and metro directions within walking distance. Direct access to and from central DC on the Blue line with no changes was essential for the first time visit.

Went to DC for Spring Break with the kids. Wanted a hotel that was out of the city but close to transportation. Embassy Suites was perfect. Shuttle picked us up from airport and took us to the hotel. Most days we walked two blocks to the Marriott and jumped on the Metro at the Crystal City stop. We also took advantage of the hotel shuttle that took us to the Pentagon City Mall to hop on there. One day we purchased tickets in the lobby gift shop for the Old Town Trolley. They pick up at the hotel and take you into DC by Fords Theater where you get on the actual trolley. They deliver you back to the hotel after 5:30.....just in time for happy hour! You can also book a tour from the hotel for the DC Lights Tour. In all, the staff was great. We loved starting the day off with a great breakfast and ending with happy hour each night. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed Jun 6-9 with 2 children and 2 parents. Great trip. Shuttle to airport runs every 30 min. A separate shuttle runs to Pentagon City Mall/Metro Stop every 30 minutes. Great friendly staff. You can also get to the Crystal City shops and Metro by walking through the Marriott, but the free shuttle is much better! The free breakfast is better than any other free breakfast we've encountered with an exceptionally large selection of items. Rooms were nice and clean. There was a large group of high school students staying during the same time frame and it was very quiet considering the number of people there. The pool is a bit small for the size of hotel, but we didn't go for the pool!

Stayed over the 4th of July holiday with 3 elementary school aged children and a toddler and the staff and facility was very accomodating. Was able to get a portable crib for my toddler and they were very fast with the set up. Parking cost is a bit steep but worth the money in the long run. Checkin and checkout was a breeze. The pool was a bit small for the hotel and there was a time where we had to wait in line to get into the pool by waiting for other guests to leave, but thats about it. And of course your can't beat the free breakfasts or happy hour in the evening; and the kids even got to have their shirley temples!

There were too many parties going on in hotel rooms. We had to call the front desk about the room next to us because at midnight they were still blasting music and had several people hanging out in the hallway. The front desk said they would send someone up, but that didn't stop the noise, only got rid of the people hanging around. Parties were going on in other rooms too, you'd see 15-20 people going into some rooms. We were very disappointed that a "nice" hotel would allow partying in their rooms and no security whatsoever.
DId not like that you had to pay an extra $18/day for parking. The hotel is far enough away from downtown that you shouldn't be charged extra for parking.
