This hotel could not be closer to Capitol Hill. It is within walking distance to the mall and to shopping and restaurants in the neighborhoods surrounding Capitol Hill. The staff was exceptional. I had a very minor problem with my reservation and had to wait at the desk, they upgraded me to a deluxe suite for waiting. Not only did they assist me with directions and suggest activities, I watched them to the same for many other guests. They also immediately accomodated my allergy to feathers, and removed the comforter, pillows and mattress pad within minutes of my call, replacing them with alternatives. I ordered room service and it was delivered from the restaurant affiliated with the hotel in less than 40 minutes. The complimentary breakfast offered a good variety of breakfast items and was available until 10 am, allowing one to sleep in without missing breakfast. The hotel was easy to find and bordered a residential neighborhood. I used the valet parking which was a little expensive, but overall it was a great base from which to explore the area. Although I now live in the area, I intend to book this hotel for my friends and family in the future.

The pictures of the hotel do not show that the hotel has 2 main buildings, so if you stay there you may be iin the lobby building or in the breakfast building in any case you must hop from one building to the other to get things. We stayed in a Junior Suite with our 2 kids while we visited DC. The beds where ok, pillows could be better, the kitchente was great with everithing you needed. Internet was good in the room and the the rooms where clean and well kept. Parking was way to expensive for the price we payed for the hotel. Great location. Breakfast was good and plenty but the room was sort of small for the amount of guest in the hotel. Hotel staff was kind and helpfull. Had a great time. Hotel does not have any pool or kids activities but well if you are visiting DC there is plenty to do.
