Hotel was fantastic. I was swayed by a prior review that said there was so much to do at the hotel that it was a shame to spend all day at the theme parks. They weren't kidding. The pools were great; your hotel activity fee includes free bike rentals, free lake activities, and a great 9 hole pitch and putt course. Well worth the activity fee (which at other hotels doesn't give you much). There were great jogging trails and bike paths, basketball and tennis courts. There was even waitress service at the pool. It was a true resort. The hotel restaurants were delicious but pricey. The rooms were recently renovated and very updated and clean. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient to the Disney parks, as well as downtown disney, local restaurants, grocery stores etc. We would definitely stay there again.

My husband and 7 yr old just returned from a week at the hyatt cypress gardens and were highly impressed. I travel a lot for work, so I have a lot of comparisons and I have to say this is my new favorite in the states! Clean, accommodating , beautiful grounds, lots to do and the location if you are a Disney fan is amazing. You are 3 minutes to downtown Disney and about the same to route four and a quick drive to international drive and Seaworld! We are repeat visitors to Disney and we almost always stay on site, but this year we wanted a bit more resort for less expense and we got it hands down, even when you add the daily hotel fee and parking at Disney! I haven't even begun to mention the views for fireworks, as well as the service, and the pool!!!!! Did I mention the meticulous grounds and how clean everything is. We had one more day on our Disney passes and decided to stay at the resort play the pitch and putt, bike around the lake, and swim in the pool and we were happy we did! No regrets miss it already! Loved the breakfast Buffett wasn't so keen on the other restaurants but okay.

I admit I was agravated because travel website agents and Hyatt Regency agents gave me different answers concerning Taxes and Fees charges. In addition to me paying travel website $245 for taxes and fees, the hotel charged me an additional $18 per day for fees and $2.50 for room tax per day. It was a lousy trip. It appeared everyone attemped to shake you down for money all ligitimate of course. I could go on complaining but I think I'll choose the west coast next and another travel agency.
