It's a great place for the price, an even better location than we expected. Parking garage was iffy as driving my ford expedition scraped in one place on the luggage rack holder everytime we drove in there. A distinct smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways. That being said the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was pretty dirty like the scum ring from someone elses bath products in the shower. But again it's DC for $* a night, can't have that high of expectations. p.s. Our phone cord was frayed and we couldn't call the front desk to complain :)

Stayed here during July, nice hotel rate included buffet breakfast that was convenient but not that great. We traveled to the sights via bicycle which worked out well. Their shuttle never seemed to fit our schedule. We stayed the first night at the end of the hotel that faced So Capitol ave. which is very very noisy! All night long sirens and speeding vehicles made sleeping difficult. We were able to switch to a slightly quieter room. Pool was very nice (It was very hot and humid) although on the weekend they have a huge loud party that is open to the public and draws huge crowds. Not much in the immediate area except Mcdonalds and the Baseball stadium. Overall not a bad place to stay for the money.

Our stay at the Skyline was one of the most traumatic experiences in all my years of travel. First, there was one person working the front desk on New Year's Eve which naturally led to us waiting 30 mins to check in. After we did check in, we had to go back to the front desk 3 times because the key cards would not open the assigned rooms. After we finally got checked in, went on our way to our events, we returned to our hotel room floor to a cloud of smoke in the hallway. A group of young men and women were smoking in illegal substance in the halls! Additionally, we had to call and complain about loud noises, all night long. Finally, we gave up and checked out at 6:00am.

Hotel was in a good location. Beautiful inside. Great value for the price we paid. The rooms were very nice and they put us in adjoiing rooms as we requested. Downside parties, parties, parties. 2am our four kids wide awake. Reception telling us security was dealing with problems. Stoppers knocking on door at 2.30 am. Not fun. Other than that (which was dealt with by 3am )it was a good experience . Hotel staff were helpful. We were checking out Saturday morning but they let us keep our car in the hotel parking for the whole day. I would recommend but just call them first and ask if they have rented out floors to organized groups first!
